What begins as routine questioning quickly unravels into a tense and darkly comic standoff between authority and defiance. Dermot Crowley is an acclaimed Irish actor with a distinguished career across film, television and stage. On screen, he is perhaps best known for his role as DSU Martin Schenk in the BBC’s award-winning series LUTHER, opposite Idris Elba. His extensive television credits also include BLEAK HOUSE, THE TRIAL OF TONY BLAIR, FATHER TED, HINDSIGHT, THE BOUNTY, and CALL THE MIDWIFE.In film, Dermot has appeared in THE DEATH OF STALIN, DEFENCE OF THE REALM, THE FOREST, and SON OF THE PINK PANTHER. He also took part in the STAR WARS universe as General Crix Madine in RETURN OF THE JEDI.On stage, he has performed at leading theatres including the National Theatre, the Royal Court, and the Gate.
